The homework for this week is mostly going to be reading and answering the section review questions. There will be several quizzes throughout the week.

Monday – Read pages 183-188 and do review questions on page 188.

Tuesday – Read pages 189-190 and do section Review questions on page 90.

Wednesday – read pages 193-199, also do reading checks on page 199.

Thursday – read pages 199-207.

Friday – read pages 207-211

Week 11 11/5 – 11/9

The first full week of the second quarter starts with us finishing up a unit and preparing for a test. The test over chapters 7 and 8 will be on Wednesday of this week. Here is the homework schedule.

11/5 Monday – You will have a worksheet/study guide that you will need to complete as review. The work sheet is not due until Wednesday after the test.

11/6 Tuesday – Again you will use the worksheet I give you in class to review for the test. The same condition apply for this as did for the review sheet you received yesterday. Please have both of them ready to turn in after the test tomorrow.

11/7 Wednesday – After the test you will begin reading the next unit; pages 170-175.

11/8 Thursday – Tonight you will read pages 175 -178.

11/9 Friday – Over the weekend you will finish off pages 178-190.

This week is going to fly by for United States History. We only have three days of class, and then it is Reformation time! In those three days though we are going to cove three sections in the History text book. We might have a couple of quizzes over the reading. Here is the homework for the week :

Your homework tonight is to write a short essay in preparation for the test on Friday. Your essay needs to be about 100 words and should be an answer to one of the following questions:

1. How do you think events surrounding the Spanish Armada influenced the colonization of America?

2. Why was it that after the reformation there was so much fighting among Christians? What should our attitude be toward this fighting and how would we explain it to an unchristian?

3. Who do you think is the greatest of all the explorers that we have studies? Please defend your response.

4. What are the main influences that led up to the Reformation? Please identify and explain at least four of them.

Some or all of these questions will appear on the test. I encourage all of you to study them.
